Ep.52/ Biz, Life and Work Update

LISTEN NOW

Before I head off to Europe with my husband George for our honeymoon, in this episode, I reflect on the past six months and the valuable lessons I've learned. I'll also touch on the importance of rest, the challenges of balancing multiple aspects of life, and the power of putting yourself out there despite fear and uncertainty.

Embracing Growth and Facing Fear

Throughout this year, I've found myself constantly pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone. Despite moments of self-doubt and fear, I’ve learned that stepping into discomfort is necessary for personal and professional growth. Embracing the unknown and facing our fears can lead to new opportunities and epic transformations.

Balancing Work and Business

As someone with an energy demanding job and a career coaching business, finding balance has been a significant challenge. I've adopted an agile approach, dedicating specific days to work, my business, and my personal life. Recognising that it's not about achieving perfection but rather prioritising and managing my time effectively has helped alleviate stress.

Communicating Needs and Setting Boundaries

Learning to communicate my needs and boundaries has been crucial for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Whether it's in my job, business, or personal relationships, open communication has allowed me to seek support when needed and avoid burnout.

The Power of Rest

In the past, I struggled with taking breaks and allowing myself to rest. Now, I've learned to recognise when I need a breather and embrace rest without guilt. Stepping back from the busyness has led to increased creativity and productivity once I return to my work and business.

Putting Myself Out There

Despite being fearful, I've begun to say yes to opportunities that come my way. Whether it's reaching out to organisations for collaborations or pursuing new ventures, pushing past my comfort zone has given me unexpected positive outcomes.

Wrap Up

As this season of the Career Confidence podcast comes to a close, I want to express my gratitude to all the listeners for your continuous support and feedback.

I encourage you to remember that growth requires discomfort, and it’s in these moments that we can truly thrive.

I'll be taking a break from the podcast to rejuvenate, gather fresh perspectives, and create exciting new content for the next season.

Remember to prioritise yourself and your relationships while pursuing your goals. It's okay to seek support, communicate your needs, and take a step back when necessary. Life is a beautiful journey, and as we navigate through its challenges and joys, let's support and uplift one another along the way.

Thank you for joining me in this episode, and I'll see you in the next season of the Career Confidence podcast!
